I've been tagged!

I've been tagged by Stace in Sutton, Vermont. She's a mother of five (if you include the husband...and you have to include husbands!) She has cats and chickens and worms and flowers and all kinds of stuff I like (except for the cats...they'd kill my husband) so I love to read her blog. You should check it out! Anyhow, here goes....

1. What was I doing ten years ago? (Man, I really gotta think on this one...) I was a mother to Nick, five, and Elijah, two. I was married to my now ex-husband living down the hill where we were building a house. It was Nick's first year of hockey, first year of school, first year of soccer...it was a lot of firsts for a new mom. I was a wannabe farmer (still am), really enjoying having kids.

2. Five snacks I enjoy:
1. Ice. I'm not sure ice is consider a snack, but I'm addicted to it. To the point I am destroying my teeth. I did some research and the craving has to do with low iron (which I have), but have you seen the size of those pills? I am supposed to take three a day. THREE! I hate pills. So I eat ice. I'm going to have to change.
2. Popcorn. Really salty. I love salt.
3. Beer. Is beer a snack? Well, it is for me. I like beer although a different snack would have a lot less calories.
4. Chips and bean dip or salsa with cream cheese. Yes, I'm overweight because I am one of those don't-eat-all-day-so-you-can-snack-at-midnight-when-you-are-starving kind of people. Stupid isn't it. Back in the day (HA!) I could do that and still be skinny. Now, five babies later, it does not make for a skinny person. Oh well.
5. Gosh, I'm having a hard time with five snacks...really, I don't eat so healthy and don't eat all that much, it just sticks with me. Let's see....crackers and cheese. Just plain ole processed single sliced cheese folded into four squares on regular saltines. Whoa! Too exciting.

3. Five things on my to-do list today: (This will be a list for Wed. since it is 1:30am and I don't plan on doing anything else but this!).
1. Water the greenhouse.
2. Water the garden.
3. Rake the goat/sheep and duck/goose yards.
4. Clean THAT closet. Ewww.
5. Watch a soccer game and get another kid to baseball practice.

4. Things I would do if I was a billionaire:
Pay off all our debt and make my husband quit working. I want him home with me.
I would probably move to some place with sandy beaches, warm air and no snow. If I did not move I would buy my psychotic neighbors house so he would quit harassing me and my children.
I would buy a horse. I've always wanted a horse. I love horses. (Hey, this is my fantasy so I can be selfish!).
I would continue to spoil the already spoiled children who think they are abused. We'd travel the world having lots of adventures.
I would hire a personal assistant who went everywhere I did doing my dishes (I HATE DISHES) and clean our bathrooms (I DO NOT DO BATHROOMS-I live with five boys/men, I'm sure you get it) and cooked our meals (I HATE COOKING).

5. Five jobs I've had:
1. I've spent a lot of years in the Food and Beverage Industry doing it all: Waitress/Bartender/Hostess/Dishwasher/Cocktail Waitress/Restaurant Manager
2. I was a Housekeeper. They deserve more respect.
3. Substitute Teacher
4. Pull-tab retail sales
5. Lived part-time in a group home with mentally disabled individuals doing everything imaginable and then some.

6. Five of my bad habits.
1. I can't say no. I will accept another "job" even if I am too busy. If it is no to the kids I can't follow through. They can talk me into anything.
2. I do not accept help. Even if I need it. I will do it myself come hell or high water. I am waaaayyy too independent.
3. I hold a grudge. FOREVER.
4. I am an animal collector. Hence, the five dogs that are driving me absolutely insane at the moment.
5. I take everything way to seriously. I need to lighten up. A LOT.

7. Five places I have lived:
1. Tok, Alaska
2. Cheney, Washington
3. Spokane, Washington
4. Fairbanks, Alaska
5. Swan River, Minnesota (for a couple of months)

8. Five people I want to get to know better (yes, you've been tagged!):
1. Hallie
2. Lori
3. Carmen and Deanna
4. Johnina
5. Sandy

9. Five random things:
1. There is a raven attacking my ducks. He's gotten two already. He's stealing the eggs. I want him to go away.
2. I drive a big, ugly, green, 15-passenger van. We needed lots of room for all the hockey bags, our kids and the misc. kids I pick up here and there. I don't want that van anymore, but some crazy lady backed into me and now it is dented. We owe more than it is worth so I'll drive it until it dies which shouldn't take too long since I run 60-100 miles a day to hell and back.
3. I hate snow. I live in Alaska and I hate snow. How ironic is that?
4. My back is 80 years old, my body is 40 years old and my mind is 20 years old. They all don't get along.
5. My fridge has about five dozen eggs in it. How many eggs can 6 chickens, 4 ducks and 1 goose lay???

LOL...I hear ya on the eggs..when I had 3 chickens 2 ducks and a goose laying I was BEGGING people to take eggs..at one point I was driving to my friends houses when they were gone and leaving eggs on their doorsteps..as a gift :-P Then I lost my chickens and ducks and poor lucy-goose and had to go back to buying eggs..and hated it..hence the new chicks. Fresh eggs rock!
