Plays, Walls and Snow

Emily was in a play yesterday. Isn't she beautiful?! Olivia and Lucas managed to make it through the entire performance without making too much noise. We left right away before the next one started. No way they were sitting through two!

I am not finding anything amusing about our weather this year. In a larger photo you can actually see the snowflakes coming down. Yesterday, it was in the 50's and the boys were skateboarding. Today, it is in the 20's and snowing. There is a lawn under there somewhere.

The deck was bare and dry last night.

This is Emily's half of the room. Yes, it obviously has not been remodeled yet. At some point we are going to sheetrock and paint this room as well as re-do the adjoining bathroom. I think we started two years ago? Soooo anyhow....I got a Badger Model 350 Single Action External Mix Airbrush with Accessories (sounds cool, huh?) for Christmas. Still new in the box four months later I looked at her wall and said, "Hey, what a great place to try out my new-in-the-box airbrush"! At some point between changing diapers, cleaning up puppy pee, and picking up the endless trail of *whatever* that seems to follow Lucas around the house I am going to Airbrush some polka dots on that wall. Wish me luck!

And this wall, too.

Ug! I hate unfinished homes which would be about half the homes in Alaska. We are funny people that way. I know more people who lived the dream and built their own home only to still have plywood kitchen floors twenty years later. Something about 24-hour daylight interferes with our desire to work and the desire to play kicks in!

I so agree about excesses of daylight making you play - I'm in Florida. Don't know how you do it during the dark half of the year.

Reflected clouds at my place today -
